Creditors and lenders check your credit report to decide whether or not to extend you credit — and at what rates. There was only one item listed. I was told that I would have to provide all of my account info including credit cards and details. Also to contact each financial institution to have them update Equifax info. I told them that I paid the amount to retrieve info not to have to gather info for them. Kept getting transferred to different departments in Philippines and India of which I could not understand.
