were unable to run a crystal report from within Sage 500 ERP and click the calendar lookup for date parameters. When they clicked the calendar lookup, the program returned a Script Error as follows: I resolved this error by copying newer java script files into C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Common\3.5\crystalreportviewers115\prompting\js. What I discovered was the original promptengine_calendar.js file was from 2007, so I was able to replace it with a file from 10/26/2008. Once I re-launched Sage 500 ERP and ran the report again, it returned the expected prompt: By simply replacing the old file I was able to help the client resolve the error. The report has a date parameter so it prompts the user to enter a date. We can type in a date value (in the format YYYY-MM-DD) and the report will run fine, but if we http://www.rklesolutions.com/blog/3-crystal-runtime-date-selection-error/ use thepop-up calendar, as soon as a date is clicked, this error shows up: aruntime error has occurred. do you wish to debug? line: 636 Error: Unexpected call to method or property access. This is happening on multiple Win XP machines and all have Crystal ReportsXI.
