Custom Error Mode In Web.config Not Working
Custom error redirects not working up vote 4 down vote favorite I'm trying to ensure that no non-standard error messages are sent to a user for security reasons. Generally I have standard error messages setup and it works perfectly fine. I use these tags in the web.config:

My custom made static error page is not showing up in tomcat when i click on url for non-existing pages. generated-error.html has a simple img src="404_man.jpg" tag. Getting customErrors and httpErrors to work in IIS 7.5 can custom error be tricky. The below settings worked for me. They handle both errors from static pages and ASP.Net pages. Instead of showing the default error pages, the settings below cause IIS to display user-friendly, static HTML custom error mode pages to the user.
