My custom error page not working in iis7 custom made static error page is not showing up in tomcat when i click on url for non-existing pages. generated-error.html has a simple img src="404_man.jpg" tag. But I keep getting the error page shown on the pic. My servlet version is 3.0 if i view it from manifest.mf. I think it's the right document to look for Servlet version? Feb 02, 2010 02:05 PM|dratcha|LINK For some reason the Custom Errors for 404 pages are not working on my production server, but they work fine on development. Instead of going to the custom 404.aspx page, it goes http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19902579/web-xml-custom-error-page-not-working to the ugly IIS 404 page. Here is my Custom Errors protion of my web.config:

Getting customErrors and httpErrors to work in IIS 7.5 can custom error be tricky. The below settings worked for me. They handle both errors from static pages and ASP.Net pages. Instead of showing the default error pages, the settings below cause IIS to display user-friendly, static HTML custom error page pages to the user. If your customErrors are not working, try the web.config settings below. The 404 HTTP status code is for page not found error. The 500 HTTP status code is for internal server errors.
