Cyclic Redundancy Check Error On External Hard Drive
- 03:00 AM I am getting this error when I am trying to back up my Call of Duty game. I am using a cyclic redundancy check error raw drive Harry Potter Movie that is 8.5 GBs to hotswap. Heres the picture:That's after I edited the layout and changed the first 3 lines to "D" instead of "C" since it didn't work the first time that I tried. But even edited,

It looks like a problem reading the second layer of the disc. Try a different drive. How can you tell? The reason I am asking is because I just want to do this once, since I already made backups with the Xtreme method, therefore all I need is the video partition. The game partitions are the 2 paritions that are 1783936 in size. The first one is, well, the first game parition, and the second is the second game parition. Maybe you have a scratch on the disc? As you can see from your picture, changing the first 3 partitions (the video paritions) to Dummy wouldn't do anything to help you, as your problem doesn't involve those partitions.Just to clear something up, what you need are the GAME partitions, as those contain the game. The VIDEO partitions (first 3) can be dummied as all they do is display that 'Please put this game int

Instructable »ANSWERS : Technologysearch answers:Ask a QuestionDead external hard drive?I've been searching the internet for answers for the last couple of hours, but no solutions have helped me so far. http://www.instructables.com/answers/Dead-external-hard-drive/ The more I think about it, the more I'm sure that I https://community.wemod.com/t/horizon-invalid-stfs-package-and-cyclic-redundancy-check-error/2822 have to either take it to an expert for data recovery, or if that isn't possible I'll have to accept the fact that the files are gone. So earlier today I was frapsing some PS4 content with the help of a Roxio video capture (PS4 signal blocked so I used Fraps cyclic redundancy to get around that). I've been saving the files on my C: drive, but since fraps files tend to get quite big, I changed the save destination to my external hard drive (Buffalo). Immediately after I ended the recording, my computer froze and I had to force shutdown. Upon restart, it started to repair damage to the disc (translated from Finnish), and once it cyclic redundancy check was ready, it then proceeded to the system recovery menu. After at least 2 hours of trying all other options, I ended up choosing the option that resets my computer. Well that really wasn't the end of the world, since the most important files are on my Buffalo hard drive, but after the reset was complete, I couldn't access my external hard drive. I tried everything in Disk Management, at least what was suggested in similar issues, but nothing really changed anything. I can see my external hard drive in the Disk Management, but can't access it. When I try to initialize the disk, an error pops up that says: "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)", and it just shows that the disc is not initialized, and that it is unallocated. Is there any other option than either taking it to an expert for data recovery, or is that too late now? What are you trying to modify? iBurnOut 2013-05-10 07:50:44 UTC #3 Thank you for replying , I am actually trying to inject some save games into my profile , I have tried quick fix and replacing method .But I've noticed an interesting thing too , that when I try to inject the save game , it asks me to choose profile , If I skip this step , it suddenly adds the save game but the profile is set to 'unknown' and when I try to change it into my profile , damn , the Cycler Redundancy Check Error pops up.When I try to add to Title Updates or Themes , they add just fine with no problem .I think I have explained it well .. Then ? How do I solve the problem ? LessThan3 2013-05-10 12:57:29 UTC #6 There is probably something wrong with the game saves you're trying to inject. Remod a fresh SAVE and make sure to rehash+resign before injecting. Make sure the games are of the right file format for the game. Skyrim for example uses two different extensions for PC and Xbox. Edit: What are you specifically doing? downloading these saves from a site or modding them yourself? Horizon only let's you add game saves, DLC, profiles, etc. You can't just add any file, make sure you are adding a valid content item. iBurnOut 2013-05-10 13:51:30 UTC #8 Thank you for your support guys , I have downloaded the game saves provided by Xbox360iSO members , I have downloaded save games for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 , Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 & WWE'13 .So far , I could only make Tekken Tag Tournament save game inject properly into my profile and even that was by trying over and over and eventually I got luck and the save game was injected successfully .The other two are still giving me errors , to make sure that the saves are not corrupted , I made a save from scratch with my Xbox 360 , extracted it into my desktop and then I tried to inject it again after deleting i
