Mouse troubles!Thread IndexSearch ForumsPosting GuidelinesContact ModeratorsJamess1 POSTED: 10 Aug 2009 22:11 PaperboyPosts: 45Joined: 9 Jun 2008I have a Dell Latitude D630 laptop and a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. When I first got the mouse it worked fine right when data error cyclic redundancy check raw I plugged it in. However I had virus trouble and had to get my computer wiped. My teacher at school reinstalled all the initial software, yet for some reason the mouse won't work. My computer keeps saying it's trying to install and then that it was installed unsuccessfully. I even tried a buddy of mine's mouse that I know for a fact works, and my computer still won't use it. It seems fine, but the pointer just won't move. Any ideas on how to help? Thanks. megapenguinx2 POSTED: 10 Aug 2009 22:13 Gone GonzoPosts: 4785Joined: 8 Jan 2009You need to download the pointer drivers from the dell website and move them over to your computer. As of now, it has none of them so it doesn't recognize the mice. Pandalisk3 POSTED: 10 Aug 2009 22:14 Premium MemberPosts: 4153Joined: 25 Jan 2009Give it some cheese? When you reboot, they will be reinstalled, and hopefully they will work. Check out the ports with other USB devices, too. 0 Message Author Comment by:securi-tech2005-10-06 The system works perfectly fine otherwise, i can use a ps/2 mouse. The usb worked fine with a thumbdrive i have, and just for chance i reinstalled the usb drivers for the computer. I even have a usb to ps/2 adapter that i tried and no luck the thing still doesnt work. I tried other usb mice that are the same model and still the same problem. it is a logitech wheelmouse from dell if that helps! 0 LVL 22 Overall: Level 22 Hardware 2 Peripherals 2 Message Expert Comment by:jvuz2005-10-06 Have you tried another usb port? 0 Message Author Comment by:securi-tech2005-10-06 I have tried all of the the ports with no luck 0 LVL 10 Overall: Level 10 Hardwa
