Click 'Video' 'Direct Stream Copy' then 'File' 'Save as AVI' - give the file a new name. VirtualDub can often correct errors in files and make them acceptable. Selecting 'Direct Stream Copy', ensures that no re-compression takes place. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm data error divx attar, Feb 22, 2008 #2 eddie1001 Guest K when i dragged in the working films i got:- could'nt locate decrompressor for format 'DX50' vitualdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video DirectShow codecs, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable.
