Tables have structures - Table1 SIGN(C1) OPTION(C2) HIGH(C6) LOW(C6) Table2 SIGN(C1) OPTION(C2) HIGH(C20) LOW(C20) At the destination side, I have created two table types which have same structure. But when I call the RFC , program terminates with error - "Data error (invalid data type 17) in a Remote Function Call" Not able to understand the reason for this error. Please help. Thanks, Sujeet 2421Views Re: Data error (invalid data type 17) in a Remote Function Call joao figueiredo Jan 7, 2011 10:36 AM (in response to Sujeet Kadam) Currently Being Moderated Hi,check out this example[LINK|http://abap.googlar.eu/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28]You have several ranges that you can use like RANGE_AUF.Function example: FUNCTION zexemple. *"---------------------------------------------------------------------- *"*"Interface local: *" IMPORTING *" REFERENCE(R_HORA) TYPE FLAG *" REFERENCE(R_DIA_1) TYPE FLAG *" REFERENCE(P_IDOC) TYPE FLAG *" EXPORTING *" REFERENCE(MSG) TYPE CHAR255 *" TABLES *" T_OIFSPBL STRUCTURE OIFSPBL *" SL_PBLNR STRUCTURE RANGE_PBLNR *" SL_MATNR STRUCTURE RANGE_MATNR *" SL_HORA STRUCTURE RANGE_UZEIT *" T_ERROS STRUCTURE ZARSTRING ENDFUNCTION.Report: SELECT-OPTIONS: sl_pblnr FOR oirbpblb-pblnr, sl_matnr FOR a361-matnr. ....~Final question:You are passing the values using TABLES and not IMPORTING right? Actually it was silly mistake; I had passed structure instead of table. missed [] after the name. Thanks! python-2.7 opencv numpy share|improve this question asked Nov 20 '14 at 22:48 user2486842 2316 Why did you use dtype=type(RED) for image? type(RED) is a python list; using that makes image an array of python http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27051084/typeerror-img-data-type-17-is-not-supported/33651437 objects (and not an with a numeric type). Why not use, say, dtype=int? –Warren Weckesser Nov 20 '14 at 23:03 If I use dtype=type(int) (and RED = 200) then I will get the same error –user2486842 Nov 21 '14 at 0:10 Ue dtype=int (not type(int)). Setting the dtype sets the data type of the elements of the array that you are creating. –Warren Weckesser Nov 21 '14 at 0:28 2 Also, if you are trying to create an array that holds RGB components, the shape should be (IMAGE_SIZE, IMAGE_SIZE, 3). E.g image = np.empty([IMAGE_SIZE, IMAGE_SIZE, 3], dtype=int). If you want the elements to be, say, 8 bit unsigned integers (a typical size for images), you would use dtype=np.uint8. –Warren Weckesser Nov 21 '14 at 0:31 Thank you for help! –user2486842 Nov 21 '14 at 22:47 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted dtype = type(RED) gives you type list and not type int. you need: image = np.empty([IMAGE_SIZE, IMAGE_SIZE, 3], dtype=type(RED[0])) share|improve this answer edited Nov 11 '15 at 14:11 Yasel 1,41531432 answered Nov 11 '15 at 13:22 laura112 322 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to t
