I have run all the usual virus checkers and pest software to no avail in the past. Anyway, I would try to boot from a startup diskette (FAT32) and recover any important data or files you may have to a floppy. You should have access to the hard drive. THEN, run scandisk from DOS (Disk Operating System) and see if you can get the system to work. If not, you may have to reinstall the OS...sorry...if your system can handle it, it may be agood time to upgrade. If you have a copy of scanreg, run that too. Use the co
