All setting on the POA agent are default. The C/S Handler Threads are low. Gw 8.0.1, any sugestions where to look ? The major error messages on the POA apart from something like this "Error: More than 5000 records [D11B] User (xxxx)". subject ] [ author ] This could simply be that your indexes are out of date, and so searches must take place "live". The error would indicate that it wanted to search thru that .db, but it was in use http://ngwlist.com/pipermail/ngw/2007-May/110078.html by some other task at the time. When do your quickfinder indexes run? Check the logs for that time to see if they actually run to completion, or do they fall short. Normally, quickfinder only re-indexes the last 2000 changes, but for heavy users, they may do more than 2000 changes /day (if you delete 2000 items, it needs to index that change as well). So you may see in your logs something like Updating QuickFinder index: user152.db database facility (217) The (217) in this case is how many changes need to be indexed. if you see values larger than 2000, then they likely did not complete. For each user w/ many changes to index, you will see lines like this: QuickFinder: 10 items indexed QuickFinder: 20 items indexed QuickFinder: 30 items indexed And it will continue till the limit, or done. Quickfinder can be tweaked to run to completion w/ the entry /qflevel=999 in your startup database facility reported .POA file. I run it this way on a fairly heavy hit POA, (800 concurrent users, 55Gig ). I don't see it impacting performance on my box. However, your mileage may vary, first search the logs for your user's .DB file to see how many it wanted to index last. If it didn't finish, I would suspect this is your culprit.
