There is no direct OMS check or status in Database Control. Before anything - is the service running on Windows? If not, start it.Then, what is the status from: emctl status dbconsoleThe output from that show the URL and the log file. Almost every command shows the location of a log file. It's right there on the screen, you just have to read it.Use emctl start dbconsole to start. Typing emctl also shows all the options. If you still cannot logon, recreate the repository using the emca command.http://dba-oracle.com/googlesearchsite_pro...atabase+control burleson Apr 21 2011, 09:20 AM Hi Stoner,>> Oracle EM unable to work on windows - why ???Frankly, most DBA's would not care!Seriously, the command line interface (SQL*Plus) is a zillion times for powerful than OEM . . . To fix the "page not found" error on OEM, try this:- Verify the registry entries for $ORACLE_HOME and ORAC

Solved OracleDBConsole Service Does Not Start Posted on 2005-03-28 Oracle Database 1 Verified Solution 5 Comments 13,084 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-11 OracleDBConsole Service Does Not Start After starting up without any problems following a recent install of Oracle 10g Standard Edition on Windows 2000, the OracleDBConsole%Oracle_SID% (OracleDBConsolestarter in our case) is no longer starting. Whether it's set to Automatic or started manually, we get a Windows error 1053 (service did not start in a timely manner). As a result, we are unable to open Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Oracle support has had us drop the sysman user and run the Enterprise Manager Config. Assistant from the command line to remove and recreate some configuration files, but this has not helped. They have also asked us to verify that there are no Oracle system or user environment variables set, which we have verified. We are using Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and did have some problems with that along the way, but those seem to be straightened out for the moment. 0 Question by:ExcelPartnership Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 47 Best Solution byschwertner Delete the OEM: C:>emca -x sid_name Using DBCA reconfig the dabase with OEM option.
