Altiris system account for Notification server, deployment server etc. Everything went well but now we get an error trying to image. PXE connects great but at the stage where it maps http://www.altirigos.com/forums/threads/error-5-access-has-been-denied-at-map-drive.12171/ the drives it says " The password is invalid for Type the password for after exhausting myself typing the new password, old password etc. I used Net Logoff to disconnect then Net logon to log on as a simple user with permissions to the share. Same error. No matter who I try, Domain admin, newly created account, I cannot map to any network resource from this PXE denied error connected session. We just moved to a 2008 AD domain from XP but the DS is still on XP sp2 (as is the file share). I can ping the share from the server and can, in fact, open the folder and access files. In that it was working before the password change I am stumped. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas? Have you tried recreating your preboot environment to include your new service account user name and password. Apparently our old admin password was "grandfathered in" during the update but it sternly rejected the new password being sent from a DOS environment. I was able to get WinPE working quite easily but my boss wants to "try" Linux as well. Since all i know about Linux is that that penquin is very cute, I have quite a bit in front of me.
