(Paul_A_Clark) Sep 24, 2008 11:25 AM I'm http://www.tech-faq.com/io-device-error.html working on a postcard design for print purposes with several embedded images and text elements. I've saved successfully several times early on, but suddenly, every time I attempt to save, I get the message "A File I/O Error Has Occurred". I need to get this to the printer, but can't make important changes now. HELP! Thanks, paul 48609Views Tags: none (add) This content has been https://forums.adobe.com/thread/319979 marked as final. (Paul_A_Clark) Sep 24, 2008 11:39 AM (in response to (Paul_A_Clark)) Crazy! Wasn't saving to a server, but to a 2-gig jump drive. When I saved it to my mac's hard drive, no problem. Is there a short answer to why that happens? I didn't appear to be out of space on the external drive... Thanks Scott! paul Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. Re: Please Help!! There may be a problem with your HDD. Run this command: chkdsk c: /r If the partition from where you want to read has another letter than 'c', replace 'c' by that letter. But do not forget the colon.
