In the registry tree, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Services\DHCPServer\Parameters. Right-click DisableRogueDetection and then click Modify… In Value Data type 0 and then click OK. Alternatively you can check the following link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee941207(v=ws.10).aspx Thanks Marked as answer by Rick TanModerator Monday, March 19, 2012 2:15 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 4:10 PM Reply

I made sure I only had one NIC enabled but that wasn't the problem. I discovered that I had 2 static IP addresses on the same NIC. Once I removed the 2nd IP address, everything was fine. Comcity Technology If this happened on SBS 2008 server check your DHCP http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-1050-source-DhcpServer-eventno-4622-phase-1.htm bindings. If you get a error code when you click the bindings button in the DHCP console, you will need to uninstall and reinstall DHCP. make sure you write down the settings before doing this. Steven Purvis I installed DNS services for just the Private IP side with forwarding to our public DNS servers. This corrected the DHCP error 1050 and 1054. 2008. DhcpServer error 1050 SBS 2008. DhcpServer error 1050 New 22 Apr 2010 #1 Simon Thomson Guest SBS 2008. DhcpServer error 1050 The following error has started showing up in my daily network reports: DhcpServer 1050 22/04/2010 7:05:05 AM 24 Event Details: The DHCP/BINL service on the local machine encountered a http://www.vistax64.com/sbs-server/276245-sbs-2008-dhcpserver-error-1050-a.html network error. The error was: 0x 2. SBS 2008 is the only DHCP server on the network. https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26211100/Server-2003-SBS-The-DHCP-BINL-service-on-the-local-machine-encountered-a-network-error.html DHCP is working, I can do ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew from DHCP enabled workstations and the get a new IP as they should. I think I have tracked down the source of the error. If I go to Administrative Tools --> DHCP --> Right Click "Server.domain.local" --> Add/Remove Bindings. I get an error dialog saying "The System cannot find the file specified". Clicking OK allows me to see that the dhcp/binl service IPv4 tab of "Server Bindings Properties" has no available connections, it is empty. The IPv6 tab has the IPv6 address of the Local Area Connection checked, as it should. SBS 2008 has a single NIC with a static IP. Everything seems to be working fine, all services are available but I know that there was an IPv4 binding set in DHCP and I'd like to know why it has gone away and how to get it back. I have some system downtime scheduled for tomorrow. I suspect dhcp/binl service on the restart will fix this issue, but then I will never know why and that will drive me nuts (briefly).
