I found a person in the archives that had pretty much the same error as i was getting and all the symptoms and got a answer to the problem that helped him/her to get back to play diablo2. Here is the site http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-416569.html , but the problem is, is that there was a link to which someone explained how to solve the question and whenever i go to the link it just brings me to a guildwars support website and nothing below explains the answer to my question so if you can go down to the bottom of the page and read what it says and maybe you will get what their saying or even try the site b/c it doesnt work for me. Thanks again for lessoning and please help me get back to playing diablo2. SkehDou

However, we do have some suggested settings for BlackICE, ZoneAlarm® Pro, Sygate Personal Firewall Pro, and Windows XP's Internet Connection Firewall. You may need to contact your ISP or network administrator for assistance if you have opened the correct ports but still cannot connect or get others connected to you. What do I need to know about ports? Anytime your computer receives incoming data, it is sent to a "port". Your computer has many ports that can receive data, and different activities will utilize different ports. How are ports being restricted? Most proxy servers, firewalls, and other Internet connection sharing methods can restrict port access. Your configuration may be restricting packets from "unknown sources". In this case an "unknown source" would be defined as any IP address that you have not initiated the contact with. Once you contact the IP address, your proxy and/or firewall considers it "safe", or a "known source", since you initiated the contact. When you create a game on Battle.net, other users need to be able to contact you in order to join. In other words, they need to be able to initiate the contact. This becomes

I installed it on my Windows 7 (Boot Camp) and tried to play it. But I couldn't connect to the server (Europe). So I opened port 6112 on my router, but still no connection. The error message just says: Not able to connect to battle.net So I disabled Windows Firewall but no improvement. Finally I downloaded the newest patch (1.13c) and tried it again. But still it is not working. Any hints on how to improve the situation? diablo-2 battle.net share|improve this question edited Apr 28 '14 at 19:15 kotekzot 33.3k38152240 asked Aug 25 '11 at 20:00 RoflcoptrException 506617 2 Boot Camp means your run that on a Mac, right? Why not install it on Mac OS X then? You should be able to download the mac game client on battle.net with your CD keys. –bummzack Aug 26 '11 at 6:43 Hmm maybe I should give this a try. –RoflcoptrException Aug 26 '11 at 6:52 Although it should work on Windows just as well. Maybe it's just a temporary issue? –bummzack Aug 26 '11 at 6:59 I don´t think so. I waited for hours between the various attempts and friends I contacted don´t have the same problem. Today I tried it at work and here it is running as it should. So maybe it is a problem with my router at home. But what else than forwarding port 6112 do I have to do? –RoflcoptrException Aug 26 '11 at 9:22 You could try hooking your computer directly to your modem, and see if you can connect. This would eliminate the router. If you can't connect it directly, putting your computer in the router's DMZ has a similar affect. –Adeese Sep 2 '11 at 22:51 | show 6 more comments 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote The official support page on battle.net is https:/
