Hey Frick Thank you very much for the fast responce. I have it running in compatibility mode for windows xp sp 2. It is all running in admin but i still get the error. My diablo 2 icon shows a little shield at the bottom right hand corner of it. I thought there was a way to fix this through control pannel ? other then completely turnning off the UAC Tool, Feb 17, 2012 #4 frickaline Uber II Retired Messages: 3,613 Likes Received: 45 Trophy Points: 1,435 Ratings: +45 / 0 / -1 This admin/compat mode seems like a bit of hocus pocus on some machines. I'll never completely understand it. Some people, it works fine immediately. Others have to reboot the machine a couple times and do some voodoo chanting. The error msg is the one I associate with failing to be able to run in admin mode.
