#1 Dtere Administrator Two options you'll want to try. First option is to take all the files on the diablo II disk and copy them to your hard drive. Run the setup.exe file from here Second option is to visit http://www.blizzard.com/store/ , register, then add your cd-key. You can then download the setup.exe file from blizzard store. This version of d2exp.mpq will definitely will not be corrupted. So either you're using an illegal cd-key, or you lost yours. Either ways there is nothing more that can be done for you if that is the case. You'll have to buy a new copy of the game or give the first option a try. Dtere, Sep 6, 2008 #4 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) Edit them accordingly to reflect where you actually have it installed. You'll also need to be sure you're logged in to the pc on http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=40816055&p= an admin account. Heya, Got a D2 LOD Installation Error. I wasn't quite sure where to post this since there http://fellowadventurer.yuku.com/topic/2466/I-am-sooooooo-confused wasn't a Technical help thread or anything, just the v1.11 section but this is a general installation problem. I've recently decided to come back to the d2 community, as Arbedark has already spotted but diablo 2 I'm having a problem installing the expansion. I put in my discs, tra la la la la, its all installing fine. Then I get to the file d2exp.mpq, now it stops at 99% of finishing this file, then the installation freezes, i take the disc out give it a wipe and put it back in, it says 'Please insert Diablo 2: Expansion Disc' so I click yes, it continues diablo 2 d2exp.mpq to freeze. Didn't work, so I went to yahoo and searched up the problems. Unfortunately, the problem does occur for others too but no one has found a good solution so I want to try my luck here. I tried dragging the d2exp.mpq file from the disc to the diablo II folder, but that didn't work either as it froze at exactly the same place as the normal installation, 99% with about 10 seconds remaining. So I thought, ok this file is messed. Saw Arbedark, he immediately helped me out and sent me a d2exp.mpq file, after a long hour and a bit, I tried it. I stuck it in the Diablo II folder, ran the installation and do you know what it does? It deletes the file, replaces it and freezes at the same place. If anyone has any solutions I'd be very grateful, I overcame this problem before yet I can't remember how. Hopefully this will work, but I'm going to GAME today to get my disc repaired and that might be the solution to fixing the file. Another solution given to me by Hyar was to copy the disc, but the copying doesn't work because my disc is messed up at th

I have never heard these terms. I tried Mirror 1 - something downloaded but nothing showed up for a program.Delete everything and try again. Downloaded the second "download" under Expansion at that site. Downloaded, then disappeared. Short cut showed up on desk top - two of them actuall. The first one says Prepatch and when you open it - it says this:Blizzard PrePatch v2.70 compiled on Sep 9 2003This program patches Diablo II ExpansionLog created at 2:34 pm on 04/04/2004ERROR: 'C Program Files\Diablo II\d2exp.mpq' does not existThe system cannot find the file specified.RESULT: Prepatch failedDo I uninstall Diablo II again then reinstall - the immediately go to this site and try to redownload the patch? If you have it, install that first. Otherwise, you need a different version of the patch. You have the one for "Expansion", you need the one for "Original".Or, just buy the expansion...
