saying they've tried 3 cd's and a digital download, and 10+ reinstalls with no luck. I've read "maphack," to which the person says they don't use hacks (and neither do we). There's no instance of somebody saying "hooray, it's fixed!" Has anybody ever figured this problem out? I frequently got such a problem (not sure if it was the same error number, but it was "unrecoverable internal error") when I was running my torrent client while playing Diablo. After I stopped using other programs simultaneously, everything was fine. Also try copying all .mpq files from the CDs into the Diablo II folder. I know that I've transfered the music and video mpq files (we play without CD's, 1.12). Are there other files I should transfer that will help? You could try reinstalling the game, I suppose. Some times problems disappear when you do. If this is affecting only a single character then it's likely that character data has become corrupt. Since this is in single player, there's no way to recover the data.Data corruption will occur. It's not something we can prevent completely. We do recommend that you make backups of your DiabloII \ Saves folder periodically to help recover from these kinds of issues.______________________________Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm Pacific TimeRate me! I assume the error comes from the maphack? Are you playing full mode or window mode? Gix, Jun 22, 2015 #2 patsorluk Member Joined: Jun 22, 2015 Messages: 5 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 0 Windows 7 is my Op system. Maybe is from the maphack i dont know. I play on full screen because the windows mode is too small LOL patsorluk, Jun 22, 2015 #3 Gix Innovate, Don't Imitate Founder Joined: Jan 1, 2005 Messages: 66,303 Likes unrecoverable internal error Received: 9,036 Trophy Points: 113 Try switching to window mode and see if this still happens. Normally, the Run as admin for both the maphack and the game itself should solve most of MH errors for most d2 players but unfortunately others will still get persistent errors during full screen mode. As an alternative you may also download the integrated MH patch (direct link on website or sticky inside help desk) and see if that helps.
