you are receiving a specific error when attempting to install Diablo III (example: BLZPTS00007), follow the support article for that specific error before trying these more general steps. Also, if you participated in the Diablo III beta, please make sure to uninstall the beta client before installing the retail version.Install From an Administrator AccountBe sure you are logged on an administrator account when installing the game. If the game is not installed on an administrator account, computer permissions can prevent the installation from completing. Also, we cannot support the game on a non-administrator account. To find out which user accounts are marked as Administrator accounts, follow these instructions:Click Start > Control Panel and look for an icon called User Accounts. Double-click the icon and it will bring up a list of users on your computer. Find the user account that matches your user name and have a look in the group column; it may say administrator, power user, or user. If it says "administrator" then you should be fine.Run the Diablo III Installer in Administrator Mode (Windows Vista, 7, 8)In addition to being logged on an Administrative account, you may also need to run the installer with the Run as Administrator command. For the digital version of Diablo III, right-click the Diablo III installer icon and select Run as administrator. For the DVD version, click Start and Computer, then right-click the DVD and choose Open. Right-click on the Installer listed as "application" and select Run as Administrator.Battle.net Update Agent (Agent.exe) IssuesIssues with the Agent helper program may prevent Diablo III from installing or updating properly. Ensure that Agent.exe no longer appears in the Processes tab of your Task Manager.Restart the installation. If that does not resolve the issue, delete the C:\ProgramData\Battle.net folder and try the installation again. The launcher will automatically rebuild this folder. If you cannot locate this folder, try these steps:Click StartClick Control PanelIf you are in Classic View:Select Folder OptionsClick the View tabIn Advanced Settings under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.Click OK.If you are in Category View:Select App
