I would suggest a card with minimum 1 gb onboard memory. If that's not the case reinstall your ATI drivers with the latest beta driver. I have now turned all the video settings to low to get it to work, I have found a load of drivers on the sapphire web site to load up which I will try later. but hey ho here we go. merry christmas every one.... It has also persisted from Windows 7 over to my Windows 8 directx error RTM evaluation install. I have tried various fixes from searching on Google increasing paging file to 12GB, decreasing it to 4GB, increasing virtual address space (bcdedit trick) to 2.5GB. This also happens either running the game off of my OS SSD drive and my regular mecahnical game HDD. When this happens temps for all of my components are stable and within safe range, GPU memory usage is at 1.4-1.6GB used out of 2GB. System memory for bf3.exe is right at directx error battlefield 2GB. I have tried multiple clean installs of BF3, running the full standalone installation of the directx runtime. Also tried running at stock speeds for everything, and the issue persists. This seems to happen randomly in MP. Could happen in 10 minutes, could take 2 hours. Any other ideas?
