The whole system works as a service, so it has no interaction with users. I detect the failure by disable error reporting looking at the DW20.exe process. The failed process waits for a user to click a button, so it stops the whole build system. Can I prevent Windows Error Reporting from waiting for user actions for a particular process (or a particular Windows user)? The box has Windows Server 2008 R2 installed, and the process is Intel Fortran compiler (ifort.exe). windows error-reporting user-interaction share|improve this question asked Apr 15 '11 at 11:11 Andrew T 1,64123350 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote There are some relevant options in WER Settings, such as DefaultConsent, DontShowUI or (as a last resort) ExcludedApplications. share|improve this answer answered Jun 1 '11 at 22:03 PhilMY 2,0821424 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. OK cool....BUT the reg keys are not there to edit...1st key is HKCU\Software\Polices\Microsoft\PCHealth\ErrorReporting\DW.... Only two items under this key are [] SystemCertificates [] Windows This does not jive with the KB article.... This system XP x64 Thanks lanker, #1 2012/01/05 hawk22 Geek Member Joined: 2002/01/31 Messages: 1,947 Likes Received: 26 Trophy Points: 493 Location: Chelsea Aus. Computer Experience: "hanging in there" Hi lanker, have you disabled "Error Reporting" from your Control Panel. If not, go to System > System Properties > Hardware > Advanced > click on Disable error reporting, and " But notify me when critical errors occur". This should solve your problem, rather then meddling in the Registry. hawk22 hawk22, #2 Log in or Sign up to hide this advert. 2012/01/05 SpywareDr SuperGeek WindowsBBS Team Member Joined: 2005/12/31 Messages: 3,660 Likes Received: 334 Trophy Points: 1,093 Location: Maryland, USA Computer Experience: Experienced support.microsoft.com > Description of the W
