AM #2 grandpaw broon View Profile View Forum Posts 175 posts Registered User I have noticed this as well. Even on the official Adobe website, my Debugger has thrown errors. (lol@that). Mind you i surf with firefox and debug with IE now so its not as much of a problem. jings Reply With Quote February 21st, 2009,12:25 PM #3 wvxvw View Profile View Forum Posts 1,596 posts Holosuite User Seems like you can redirect them into log file instead... but, i don't remember for sure... and, you'll have to turn this on and off every time, so, that's not really an option I support FlashDevelop (the .NET open source editor for Flash and web developers) couchsurfing if you need it Reply With Quote February 21st, 2009,05:54 PM #4 dail View Profile View Forum Posts Visit Homepage 856 posts noponies Yeah, classic that there are Runtime errors on the Adobe site, of all places. The thing I hate the most about using the debug version, is that IOErrors pretty much always crash Safari, so if you happen to navigate away from a page thats loading some content, and the developer has not handled any load errors, bang, bye

I am completely aware of the error I'm receiving, and it does not cause my application from working correctly. I simply need to disable these messages. Is there a setting in flash or a flex compiler command or something? Thanks, David. flex flash share|improve this question asked Aug 5 '09 at 6:15 David 1551211 1 Add SuppressDebuggerExceptionDialogs=1 to the mm.cfg file did it for me, disable flash messages see also: senocular.com/?entry=475 –Erwinus Sep 23 '14 at 1:40 That worked for me. Though, the errors will not be displayed to users that have the release version of the flash player installed, and not the debugger one. There's a very hot feature request for the flash player but the implementation seems far from happening: Ability to intercept system error dialogs. There are a lot of comments some heated, some sarcastic but Adobe seems to still ignore this issue. UPDATE The feature has since been implemented. Last comment says: This has been fixed with Flash player 10.1 http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/features.html Global error handler The new global error handler enables developers to write a single handler to process all runtime errors that were not part of a try/catch statement. Improve application reliability and user experience by catching and handling unexpected runtime errors and present custom error messages. When using the global error handler in a SWF running in the debug player, error pop-ups will not be shown. share|improve this answer edited Sep 28 '11 at 9:11 answered Aug 5 '09 at 9:24 bug-a-lot 1,9931322 Add SuppressDebuggerExceptionDialogs=1 to the mm.

people are confused when the Adobe Flash plugin keeps crashing in Firefox. Instead of showing some animations or videos, it keeps saying that The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed, Reload the page to try again. Or even worse, it pops up a Windows crash report with the error message Adobe Flash Player 12.0 r77 Problem signature: Problem Event Name:    BEX Application Name:    FlashPlayerPlugin_12_0_0_77.exe Application Version:    12.0.0.77 Application Timestamp:    52223bb7 Fault Module Name:    StackHash_27eb Fault Module Version:    0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp:    00000000 Exception Offset:    655392cd Exception Code:    c0000005 Exception Data:    00000008 OS Version:    6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID:    2057 Additional Information 1:    27eb Additional Information 2:    27eb358fe674a6f15dafe56d42bb9bf3 Additional Information 3:    2f06 Additional Information 4:    2f06c18113e6d7c00e6b91fa1fde84b6 When you closes the window, it will pop up again in a few seconds, making it impossible to browse the page. Common solution: update the Flash plugin There is a article from Mozilla official website Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again, the main idea is to upgrade your Firefox and Adobe Flash plugin to latest version, using the steps below. Go to the Adobe Flash Player download page at Adobe.com and download the Flash installer. Caution: Adobe's download page may include a checkbox for optional software (such as Google Chrome or McAfee Security Scan) that is selected by default. If you do not need the optional software, just clear the checkbox before downloading. When the download has finished, close all Firefox windows. Open the Flash installer file you downloaded and follow the instruction
