Solved disable submission of outgoing faxes unexpected error Posted on 2006-07-26 SBS 1 Verified Solution 13 Comments 1,272 Views Last Modified: 2008-01-09 Just reinstalled my offices SBS box. Everything is great, but when users try and send a fax it says"outgoing faxing disabled". I checked the management console, and the modem is set to send and receieve. I then checked the Fax properties and the "disable submission of outgoing faxes" was ticked along with the "Disable outgoing faxes" checkboxes. When i try and clear these and hit apply, it says "unexpected error" and wont apply. Im finding it hard getting info off the net about this error.. frustrating. FYI : Exchange is NOT installed at all. Thats the only config change from a standard install. Please help! Thats the only config change from a standard install" That is your problem If you wanted to use a standard Windows 2003 without The SBS Gadgets that what you should do. Since the intallation of the sbs standard is preconfigured. At this point, either you finish with the SBS installation, or start over with a copy of windows 2003 standard. Good luck! Ray 0 Message Author Comment by:rokgod2006-07-26 The reason we didnt install exchange is because we have a seperat e server for our email ( Lotus Notes / Domino) and we port forward mail thru the sbs2003 to it. We have all teh workstations in the sbs network and use sharepoint etc SBS server was correctly installed and it is working fine. Its just we left out the exchange server part. I try to send a fax by "Print"ing from the document and selecting "Fax" from list of printers, the "Send Fax" wizard appears. As soon as I click "Next", an error message pops up saying: "The fax server is blocked for outgoing faxes.The fax wizard will now close" I used the Server Management's Fax Confiuration tool to set up the fax on the server. On the Fax Console, when I select "Outbox" and select "Fax Printer https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21933376/disable-submission-of-outgoing-faxes-unexpected-error.html STatus" from Tools menu, there is one entry with "Local" under Fax Printer column with a red cross over it and "queue blocked" under Fax Status column. I can connect to "\\servername\fax" however.
