I set boot from CD, but nothing happens. I read about program rewrite.exe. I made a diskette with sbm.bin and set boot - floopy. Loader appears and there are about 10 options to choose (CD-ROM, Removable, HD) but no matter which CD-ROM I choose i always get "Diskerror 0x01". I have an istalled iso image on CD. I tried to make a virtual disc from that image with daemon tools. What is strange when I open this virtual disc, the autorun doesn't start, I only can see what's on CD. I hope there is a solution. You didn't simply copy the .ISO file to the disc? You don't need to boot from a floppy 1st...the problem is most likely with the disk. Report • #2 kornfan April 10, 2010 at 18:27:49 Of course not. I used LiveCD. But when I mount this image on virtual disc I also cant run it, isn't it strange? Cause on ubuntu site it says that desktop version can be installed from Windows. Report • #3 jam April 10, 2010 at 18:29:29 Of course not what? Don't mount anything. Burn the ISO using ImgBurn & boot directly off the disk!http://www.filehippo.com/download_i...If you want to actually install it to the HDD, boot into Windows, then pop in the disk...install Ubuntu using Wubi. It should be built-in, if not, get it here:http://wubi-installer.org/ Report • Related Solutions› an error occured while loading the archive › run linux from memory stick and mount hard disk on laptop › [Solved] Vsftpd :500 Illegal PORT command Error › disk cleanup on linux on asus eee pc 900a as well as factory › Graphical mode error in ubuntu12.04 › [Solved] Unable to mount location ( Can't mount file) › error initializing pci express slot 2 See More ↓ #4 kornfan April 10, 2010 at 18:31:58 Of course I didn't copy the iso file on CD. Jon Dittman Moderator United Kingdom 206 Posts Posted-February 05 2013: 11:41:50 Hi,The reason incremental images are working but full images are not is purely statistical since and incremental image is much smaller than a full. You will eventually get a verification error whilst performing an incremental backup. We have produced a KB article that may help:http://kb.macrium.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50048.aspxKind regardsJon DittmanMacrium Support Topic New Topic Reply to Topic Printer Friendly Jump To: Select Forum Reflect v5 Wish List Rescue CD Installation File Backup Disk Imaging Community Reflect v4 Installation Disk Imaging File Backup Rescue CD Wish List -------------------- Home Active Topics Frequently Asked Questions Member Information Search Page Macrium Support Forum © Paramount Software UK Ltd This page was generated in 1.54 seconds. I didn't do anything for it to do this, and I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall everything Is there a fix I can do? I didn't mess with the bios at all but I went in and checked to make sure it was configured correctly, and it was. If anyone can help me fix this issue without reinstalling the os ASAP I would gladly PayPal them some $ as this is urgent As far as the lion os goes, I've dried booting into my mountain lion USB and tried repairing permissions and repairing disk, the tried booting into lion (after waiting about 4 minutes because of the ebios read errors) and nothing has changed.. Could this ebios error be a chameleon boot loader issue? Maybe I can install mountin lion on Nother drive, and run chameleon wizard and install it on my main ssd drive? Would that work ? Can you boot from your USB but choose your HD from the chameleon menu instead of booting into the installer? I have a system which runs 2 DVD drives, 3 OS's - Windows 7, Linux Mint, and Yosemite, plus a Yosemite Clone and a Data Transfer Drive (Fat32) for cross platform transfers. That's 5 hard drives..... This error disabled booting of all but the Linux Drive, and although the BIOS reported the presence of all the hard drives, and all looked normal, the smaller Data Transfer Drive had failed. This c
