I mount the ISO as virtual media in iLO, boot up with "...standard installer" and eventually receive the boot failed error. I don't get as far as the yellow installer. My machine is a HP DL360 G6. I have 4 internal SAS disks.Does anyone know what could be causing https://communities.vmware.com/thread/405912?tstart=0 this, any recommendations? Thanks,Christian 8558Views Tags: none (add) driveContent tagged with drive, isolinuxContent tagged with isolinux, 42b4Content tagged with 42b4, 9fContent tagged with 9f This content has been marked as final. Can you mount the ISO to another server or your local machine to check that its intact? What's your ilo network conectivity like? If it's mounted over a slow connection then you may get that kind of issue. Thanks Like Show 0 Likes (0) Actions 2. My name is Razi. and I am new to Linux and this forum. 1. While installing Fedora 12 i got this error "Isolinux disk error 20; AX=4280, drive EF". I run Ubuntu 9.10 on same system but now getting Error on installing Fedora 12 using a writeable CD to install that. A friend of mine install fedora disk error 20 from the same CD. I am using Pentium 4 2.40 GHz, 512MB Ram, Nvidia G-Force MX-440 SE. and a complete Partition of approx 10GB. In frist attempt CD was not able to boot, but after 3-4 trys CD was booted for couple of times and now it was not booting again. In that 2 trys, i got the same error as mentioned above. 2. Before installing this I install ubuntu and it was running fine, but a little problem with that. Whenever I boot my system all things remain same but monitor settings went on 800*640. I usually set them to 1024*768 (Maximum my card can suppot). Please let me know that Fedora 12 is supported by my system or not. And if 12 is not supported than which version should I try. Thanks. Please check if your cd/dvd has a scratch/ is damaged. From your description it certainly does not look like good media. If its not the cd/dvd
AX=4280, drive EF Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] Hello William; Are you thinking BIOS update for the motherboard or for the DVD drive, or both? The motherboard has Intel's latest and greatest. The DVD drive I'm not so sure of. It's been awhile since I looked at it's status vis-a-vis bios versions. I've not found bios updaters under Linux. Windows, yes; Linux no. I could remove the drive, put it into the XP box and check it's version that way? Don't you think it may be easier to try the CD set instead? They're about $7.95. The DVD was $4.95 with $5 shipping. RHEL 3 installed easily that way, back in the day. It took 9 CD's at the time. CentOS comes on 6. What do you think? I thought it would be easier to use a single DVD, not envisioning it might be a problem. Dumb me. William L. Maltby wrote: > On Sun, 2008-08-03 at 08:41 -0400, Ed Westphal wrote: > >> Thanks Dag.
