I am trying to make a dban floppy from my vista machine. When it runs, the program formats the floppy then puts its software on it. Vista is giving me access denied errors. UAC is already turned off (it has been since day 2). This is happening with multiple programs, not just dban so it shouldn't be the download. I have also tried many different floppys. Any insight on how to turn this crap off is greatly appreciated. The exact error is: Windows Error N. 5 Access is denied. Then Disk error no 69 on track 0, head 0 Access is denied. I dont think Vista has anything built in to stop making floppy disks. I installed ImDisk in Vista Home Basic 32bits. Copying files to the virtual floppy using Windows http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?79521-Vista-denying-floppy-making-software Explorer works. But I experienced some problems using other programs that want to write to the virtual floppy. For example, tools based on Ontrack Floppy Creator, such as:IBM Disk manager 9.57Ontrack Advisor 5.00 TrialOntrack Disk Manager 10.46 (2 floppy disks)Samsung Disk Manager 10.42Seagate Disk Manager 9.56aSeagate Disk Wizard Standard Edition 10.45.06 (2 floppy disks)Western Digital DataLifeGuard 5.04fSuch tools are http://reboot.pro/topic/12255-need-help-with-virtual-floppy/ created by floppy creators, and need a 1440K 3.5" A: formatted floppy under Windows to create the actual floppy tool. Some of them may need changing their properties (compatibility with XP), some may not.In any case, under Vista, using a real physical floppy, I can create them. But in a system without a real physical floppy, I tried VFD and ImDisk (not simultaneously) and it fails.Under Vista with ImDisk, all Ontrack Floppy Creators stop at the same message:Diskette write-protect tab must be closedeven in compatibility mode (XPwSP2, 2k, NT...).Another tool, memscope 1.10, based on Winimage Self-Extractor 8.00, also fails while trying to create its floppy. I get the message:Windows Error N. 5 Access is deniedand then the following message is displayed:Disk error n° 69 on track 0, head 0 Access Is deniedwith 3 options in the same dialog:Abort, Retry, IgnoreLooking at the content of the virtual floppy after running memscope 1.10 floppy creator, there are several folders written to it, so the error is different from not being able to

I'm fairly sure I've also seen (-50) also, very frequently all of a sudden. My Ipod is several years old and still in great physical condition. The error always occurs when I'm trying to put a music track or video onto my Ipod. Sometimes they'll go through fine, others not. I get the error and then Itunes says "Trying to update Ipod" before it freezes. When I reset my ipod, windows pops up a window saying that the disc may have errors and I should scan in order to fix it. Scanning and repairing does nothing. After the error, the Ipod will still play what is on it, but I cannot add anything new or plug it in without similar issues. I only remember getting this issue when the new (6 months ago or so) Itunes came out. I've tried using old versions but the same error occurs.I'm beyond frustrated. I've had to format my ipod and find all of my music over again at least 10 times now.Other weird things I've noticed: Sometimes when I plug in my ipod to the computer, my Ipod is still usable and the Itunes doesn't recognize it as plugged in.Freezing when I plug in my Ipod, reseting the Ipod makes the -69/-50 error definite.Any ideas? Google says that the problem is fairly common but I haven't stumbled upon a solution. iPod classic, Windows 7 Posted on Mar 7, 2012 12:29 AM I have this question too Close Q: Unknown Error -69 When Syncing Music or Video All replies Helpful answers by Bilbo_cheshire, Bilbo_cheshire Mar 7, 2012 5:49 AM in response to wtw4 Level 4 (1,780 points) Mar 7, 2012 5:49 AM in response to wtw4 To be of any assistance, Which version of iTunes are you using? What is your iPod firmware/software version as shown in the iTunes summary page?Error -69 occurs when iTunes tries to send files to your iPod, but a file (or files) is unusable, if you have error 50 this time also then it is the iTunes needs to be re-install. And your iPod firmware need to be updated.I can suggest you delete the file that is causing the problem, but most likely it is all the files, due to the iPod firmware or iTunes mobi
