Ever gotten this error after unplugging your BlackBerry from your computer? A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct disk error checking the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. My first reaction when I got this error was “CRAP what about all my pictures!” Then I realized it is a simple as plugging your BlackBerry into your PC and running CheckDisk to fix the errors. Some of you may not have realized that so I thought I would share. Plug your BlackBerry into a Windows computer and turn on mass storage mode if it is not already turned on Open My Computer. Right-click the appropriate Removable Disk. Click Tools, and then click Check Now. Select Automatically fix file system errors, and then click Start. Things should work just fine after that! At least it worked the last two times I got this error. Not sure if there is a way to do this on a Mac but let me know! I personally think it sucks that RIM cannot just include the disk checking utility on your BlackBerry since your only option from the device is to format it completely and lose your data… Tags: Contains ErrorsDisk CheckingError CheckingMicroSD Card Previous Post Free Harley Davidson Storm Theme Next Post JConverter 2.0: Free App Gets a Facelift For OS 4.6.1+ Devices Share this article with your friends! Find an adapter or something that will allow you to connect the SD card to your computer via USB and then run Windows built-in disk error checking utility on the SD card and then you should be good to go. Your files are still on the card, your phone just wont read the card until you run the error checking utility on it. This happened to me last week I believe. I forgot to "unmount" my phone from my computer after putting files on my SD card (or for Windows users, "unmount" is the same as "safely remove hardware"). Check for Disk Errors in Windows XP There's some instructions.
