All of a sudden when Sabnzbd tries to create a folder or something is will error out and not be able to create it. I've done the file permissions "fix" and I'm doing it again right now. Hopefully that's what it is. « Last Edit: May 27, 2012, 07:39:28 PM by opentoe » Logged -Quick Specs-Parity Drive: Western Digital Black 7200 rpm 4TB http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=20315.0 64MB cacheDisk 1 thru 12: All 7200 rpm 64MB cache drivesUnassigned Drive: 2TB Western Digital BlackUnassigned Drive: 120GB Samsung 840 850 EVO SSDMainboard: Asus Sabertooth X79 8 6Gbps SATA ports availableControllers: Two Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8Controllers: Two Dell Perc H310 Flash to IT modeProcessor: Intel i7-3930k 3.5Ghz 130W 32nm Memory: 32GB XMP RAMVideo: Nvidia GEFORCE GT610 1GBCPU Cooler: Noctua DH-U9SFlash: 32GB Sandisk Cruzer USB StickCase: Norco 4224 V2PSU: Seasonic X 650W-Details and Pictures-My original baby:www.newznabforums.com Dougy Full Member Posts: 124 Re: when Sabnzbd tries to create a folder or something is will error out « Reply #1 on: May 11, 2012, 11:15:38 PM » Quote from: opentoe on May 11, 2012, 09:26:39 PMI'm also having write issues. I tried using fast and slow format, both don't seem to work. here is the full error I get: Error creating file system: Command-line `parted --script "/dev/sda" mktable gpt' exited with non-zero exit status 1: Error: Input/output error during disk error on write on /dev/sda (udisks-error-quark, 0) I'm trying to format because the installer also gets stuck, I dont know if the problem is my hard drive -it's new-, the pavilion computer or ubuntu. I doubt its the last one because I had similar problems installing windows 10 Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks in advance! partitioning hard-drive share|improve this question edited Jul 8 '15 at 13:21 asked Jul 8 '15 at 8:21 Generalcooky 32 Is you disc ok? –frlan Jul 8 '15 at 8:35 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted You can't fix this. If it's a new drive, go to your dealer and request a sawp under warranty. Be sure to mention "DOA" (Dead On Arrival) To be absolutely sure: sudo apt-get install smartmontools sudo smartctl --scan and then perform: sudo smartctl --all /dev/XdY where X and Y are the letters that came up for your drive in sudo smartctl --scan Sorry for the bad news. share|improve this answer edited Jul 8 '15 at 11:05 Fabby 15.3k1240114 answered Jul 8 '15 at 8:37 A.B. 47.6k896170 Can you explain why it's the drive?
