It shouldn't be a matter of disk space, since this a relatively new G5 with 128GB of space. The FW drive I save to as a backup has less than 1GB. Also, it seems to be the source file that's the problem. I can't save any version - No psd, no jpg, no pct, nothing. Can't renumber, can't rename. Someone else mentioned this a while back, to no a avail, so I was wondering whether someone had come up with an explanation or a fix since then. I can always repair permissions, I suppose.Return to posts index•Re: "Could not save because of a disk error"by Mike Gondek on Jan 14, 2004 at 6:59:46 pmSo it is just that one file, that narrows the possibilities. Save for web strips out a few things: paths, preview icon, channels, makes it RGB. So try as a test

Apps that I use all the time, started having https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3721155?start=0&tstart=0 problems saving, then they started having problems opening files. I could drag and drop files on an app and they would open. Cmd+S would sometimes save, sometimes not. If I closed the window without saving, I'd get the warning http://www.yodot.com/psd-repair/photoshop-could-not-save-file-because-disk-is-full.html prompt, select OK to save and the file would save. Printing started flaking. Page setup comes up with a blank dialog, with Printer settings pulldown blank. Trying to print, either nothing would happen or the app would crash. disk error I have run disk verfy - everything checks out. I have repaired permissions, I have run techtool pro. Nothing works. I have done a Cmd-Opt click to start apps for a fresh prefs file. It seems to have started with one app and is showing up in others, mostly Adobe/Microsoft apps, but now Open Office, too. I've had and diagnosed many macs over the years, but this one's got me perplexed. I've got Sophos Antivirus and because of a nothing has been detected....TIA for any help!
