It is a single file? Or multiple files? You said a file but I just want to be sure. If it is indeed a single file . . . the fact that you ran out of disk space might explain the problem. I am far from on expert on such things . . . but I would suspect that if you started writing a file and you ran out of space that the HD would go a bit haywire. You repaired the disk using disk utility (which seems like the right step to me) however, due to you running out of space and repairing the disk etc it is very possible that you really only have about 18% of the file at this point. I have had similar problems before . . . and it usually comes down to a bad file or a bad disk sector or something. I have not experienced this problem in several years but what I think I remember doing was to delete the bad file and just go on leeching the torrent. If the torrent really is just one huge file . . . this will of course mean deleting the whole thing and starting over. On the other hand if the torrent is indeed made up of individual files (which I find much much more likely) you just need to figure out which file(s) are at that 18.7% p

Hi, I have a whole bunch of downloads happening: half of them downloaded OK, then the rest came up with http://forum.vuze.com/Thread-Read-fails-result-too-large an error message: "disk write error - flush: inconsistent entry length, position wrong" Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks Find Reply GaryE Swarm Master Posts: 338 Threads: 2 Joined: Aug 2014 Reputation: 8 #2 12-20-2015, 11:47 PM Honestly I do not think this is a Vuze problem per se. But I am http://forum.vuze.com/Thread-disk-write-error-SOLVED less than certain. A quick goggle search found this suggestion: http://achintyasharma.blogspot.com/2009/...te_07.html It is not exactly the same problem as you are describing but I think you might be experiencing the same type of problem. I'm a content author who distributes a lot of my material via BT. It keeps my internet load down, as I'm sure you can understand. Starting with the current release of Vuze, it seizes up after about 8-9 hours and I have to restart disk read to keep seeding. With the in-your-face update push, I always just go with it. Vuze has never let me down. Until now. First, if I catch it at the early stages of seizure, it simply won't respond to searches in the search box. Then, later, it will not display files when I click on a torrent in my list. At the final stage, it won't even disk read error display menus when I click on the headers File, View, Community, etc. I generally just restart if I manage to catch it in the first stage. If it's in the second or third stage of failure, Vuze will not respond to any menu commands, including "Restart Vuze", and won't shut down with alt+F4 or clicking on the X in the upper right. It's just sitting there with 1-2% CPU usage (normally between 5-20%) and a couple of hundred MB memory used. I stop it in Task Manager, then restart. Is there a particular version of Java this release is optimized for? What am I missing? And you should be, because I can fix your problem. These errors are saying that another program has one of the files you're downloading open, so it can't access it to continue downloading. If you're like me, it's that Google Desktop has that file open to index it. All you have to do is follow these simple steps to tell Google Desktop to not index the folder(s) you download your torrents to:Right-click on the Google Desktop icon in your task bar (the rainbow-colored circle near your system clock.)Select Preferences...In the Web page that opens, under "Don't Search These Items", click the "Add file or folder to exclude" link. From the resulting dialog, browse to the folder where you normally save the files you download with Azureus and click Ok.Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each folder you normally save files in, if applicable.Click Save Preferences at the bottom of the Web page.Send me money. (I'm guessing since you use Azureus you probably will skip this step.)This should also correct the issue where the DivX Settings Manager icon comes up in your system tray all the time while you're downloading avi's - if you have it. If it doesn't, then try this fix (using Azureus.exe as the value.) You may have to run "divxsm /unregister" then "divxsm /register" in a command prompt to reset the thing and get it to stop. It's likely that this will fix similar issues experienced on other P2P file sharing clients such as Kazaa or Shareaza.Read: Genesoc (probably down)Read: P2P Forum Italia (in Italian)Labels: Bitching, Tips
