for me no solution helped as it looks like this error is a very common error for different errors.I use an iMac a disk read error occurred press ctrl alt del to restart windows 7 (Late 2013) with a 1GB Fusion Drive. I tried to repair my partition via the disk utility but it's just tellin me that I should backup all my files. I don't have a problem with repaving my system but I want to have at least a backup of the latest files. I fear an installation, even without formatting the drive, overwrites my user folder. I also have Paragon. Does it contain an additional repair tool for NTFS drives? This is my current distutil output:/dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *121.3 GB disk0 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_CoreStorage 121.0 GB disk0s2 3: Apple_Boot Boot OS X 134.2 MB disk0s3/dev/disk1 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *1.0 TB disk1 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk1s1 2: Apple_CoreStorage 298.7 GB disk1s2 3: Apple_Boot 650.1 MB disk1s3 4: Microsoft Basic Data Untitled 700.0 GB disk1s4/dev/disk2 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD *411.2 GB disk2 Logical Volume on disk0s2, disk1s2Thank you so much for any help! iMac, Windows 7, null Posted on Apr 19, 2015 7:25 AM I have this question too by Loner T,Solvedanswer Loner T Level 7 (24,374 points) Safari A: Assuming you have iMac and W7 (based on your signature), do you still have the original Windows installer (DVD, USB, or both)? If you do, you can try,1. Insert DVD or USB.2. Go To System Preferences -> Startup Disk -> select Bootcamp -> click Restart.3. It should boot from the Installer. 4. You should see a Repair option similar to the attached screen shots - https://imgur.com/a/1DaOE#0 (this is from my MBP).
