I'd vuze disk read error flush fails gotten around 80% of it. Yesterday after a brief software update (OSX Snow Leopard) I suddenly lost the connection and got an error. Every vuze disk write error attempt to restart the download has resulted in "Error: Disk read error - read fails - result too large". It always happens at 18.7% of the check. I did notice I was out of room on my hard drive vuze disappears so delete items to give me over 100G room (and emptied the trash) Since then I have: 1. updated Vuze 2. ran repair permissions in the disk utility 3. restarted numerous times 4. forced recheck of file 5. Tried running check with next to nothing else running I am really hoping not to have to start the download again, it has been going for so long and I was so close to finishing! Any thoughts? You said a file but I just want to be sure. If it is indeed a single file . . . the fact that you ran out of disk space might explain the problem. I am far from on expert on such things . . . but I would suspect that if you started writing a file and you ran out of space that the HD would go a bit haywire. You repaired the disk using disk utility (which seems like the right step to me) however, due to you running out of space and repairing the disk etc it is very possible that you really only have about 18% of the file at this point. I have had similar problems before . . . and it usually comes down to a bad file or a bad disk sector or something. I have not experienced this problem in several years but what I think I remember doing was to delete the bad file and just go on leeching the torrent. If the torrent really is just one huge file . . . this will of course mean deleting the whole thing and starting over. On the other hand if the torr

Vuze Disk Read Error Direct Buffer Memory
Sep 2015 Reputation: 0 #1 09-25-2015, 11:47 PM Greetings All! I've been vuze disk read error cyclic redundancy check a daily user of Vuze for many years and have recently encountered a problem that I've never seen before: whenever vuze disk read error out of memory I start downloading a torrent file, the download works normally for a few minutes, then without warning the little green smiley face icon on the left turns red and the download stops http://forum.vuze.com/Thread-Read-fails-result-too-large with the following error message: "Error: Disk write error-flush fails, open fails, file not found:" This has started happening only recently and I've tried restarting Vuze, running anti-virus scans, rebooting my PC (running Windows 7 with all current updates), etc., but nothing seems to correct this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? What is the solution? Find Reply billyboy999 Fresh Torrenter Posts: 3 Threads: 1 Joined: Sep 2015 Reputation: 0 #3 09-27-2015, 12:13 PM Does the file actually exist? Could be anti-virus getting deleting the file. But I am not very confident about that . . . it is another possibility however. Find Reply « Next Oldest | Next Newest » Possibly Related Threads... I've been using Vuze for quite some time disk read but never had any big problems until a week ago. I was downloading a couple of big packs (60 & 90 Gb) when I started getting errors: "disk write fails, flush fails the file *****.avi is in use by another process" I think it might have happened before but then Ive just restarted vuze and it's been fine (probably because of my reasonably fast connection, i e it's finnished downloading before the error has disk read error occured again) anyways after a fair bit of googling I was pretty sure it was some sort of background indexing/scanning that did it so I found this: http://achintyasharma.blogspot.se/2009/1...te_07.html It explains how to figure out what processes are locking the file(s) (also read the comments and don't use Unlocker unless you like malware) In his case it was the thumbnailviewer but for me I found it to be AVAST & windows indexing so I simply turned off the windows indexing for that partition open an explorer window right-click the partition click properties uncheck the last box that says something like "allow for files on this unit to be indexed past the fileproperties" (I have a swedish version of windows) click ok and for AVAST I excluded my vuze download folder from scans: click settings scroll down to exclusions and browse to or enter the path for your downloadfolder (in my case E:\downloads\vuze downloads) click ok Filezilla was also using that folder but since I wasn't using it I just uninstalled it, not sure if it was causing any problems but I wouldn't think so, just figured I'd mention it Anyways I hope this can be of help to someone and I hope I didn't break too many forum rules :) /Kn4s Find Reply brutalseverity Fresh Torrenter Posts: 1 Threads: 0 Joined: Nov 2015 Reputation: 0 #2
