Apparently it was this "shrinker" that was causing the problem so I used a deshrinker problem to unpack the exe. I was thinking that dispatcher initialization failed i might just reinstall Homesite, but I can't seem to find the install program. I had Homesite 4.0 and then did the update for 4.5. However, when I tried to reinstall the update, it ask for a serial number. I can't get the serial number because the program won't open up. In addition to the above assistance, does anyone know of a link online where there is a Homesite 4.0 or higher installation download? Any help would be appreciated. Newer versions of the Alias Configuration Utility do not display this problem. Here are three solutions. 1. The Advantage TDataSet Descendent has a newer version that does not display this problem. If using the latest version of the Advantage TDataSet Descendent, simply copy the newer version of Alias Configuration Utility into the directory where ARC was installed overwriting the old version. 2. The purpose of the Alias Configuration Utility is to create and modify aliases in the ADS.INI file. This can be done manually. 3.
