Nero Dma Driver Error Timeout Occurred
assembled my new PC with help from a friend. I have 1 DVDROM drive (LG GCR8163B) and 1 DVD-Writer (LG GS-4166B). I tried to burn some data from hard disk using Nero 7.0.8.2 and I got the following error message: "DMA Driver Error.
Dma Driver Error Crc Error Fix
CRC Error". I also tried dvd to dvd copy but got the same error. My DVD Writer is Primary Master and DVDROM Primary slave. I swap them around and still get the same error. I then unplug my DVDROM leaving only the DVD Writer. This apparently worked. I also did some experimenting by going into device manager, ATAPI CONTROLLER and changing all primary and secondary transfer mode to PIO. This work but problem is great slow down in speed. Hope somebody here can help me out. I dma drive error don't want to have only dvd writer working while living out my fully working dvdrom idle. HELP!! Here's my PC set up : OS: Windows XP Pro with SP2 CPU: Intel Core 2 Dual 6300 1.86 ghz Mainboard: Intel DP965LT Memory: 2 MB Cosiar DDR2 667mhz Graphics: Elsa Nvidia Geforce 7600GS PCI Express Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Harddisk: 500Gb Seagate x 1 unit (SATA) 300Gb Seagate x 1 unit (IDE) 300Gb Maxtor x 1 unit (IDE) IDE PCI Controller Card with 2 primary and 2 secondary chanel (I need this card as I have 2 IDE harddisk from my old system but the main board only has 1 ide port). It's horribly slow and will eat up your processor cycles! Are you using an 80-wire IDE cable? The extra wires improve error rates and are mandatory for the higher transfer rates. How fast are you burning the DVDs? Are you exceeding the speed rating of the media. Sometimes when burning at the maximum rated speed, you'll still get errors so it may help to burn a little below the maximum speed. Also try upgrading the firmware of your DVD burner. It should be located in the appropriate folder in the following path- C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Nero. The name http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=5010 should be something like Neroburningromlog.txt.Open it in Notepad and delete your serial number and then post it here, please.When you made the burn, did you have "verification" turned on?Are you using v9.4.26? However, there are a few things to do first.First, go to the manufacturer's website for your drive and download and install the latest driver. You may have a new PC but who knows when the drive was manufactured and if the Windows drivers will work with it.If t

For the past couple of months I've been trying to get my machine to burn DVDs, ever since I became seriously infected with malware, I desperately need to dma drive back up my hard drive.
