At one point the picture did come on, but then it went off. Another strange thing is when I started the DVD with the TV off, I did not get the u73 error. When I

turned the TV on, then I got the error. Is it the HDMI cable? I have a Sony Bravia TV which is 1080P, so I don't think (I hope) its the TV. Any ideas? The last couple of posts go to say; U 73 error on my Panny DMP-BD35 connected to my Panny TX-37lzd85. I found it hard to believe that this perfect match would give me an u73 error. It really did. I called Panny support and they said i had to bring in the player, that u73 error ment that there was something very wrong. Before returning the brand new player I bought a slighty more expansive HDMI cable (double coated). Plugged it in and all the problems where solved!! No more errors, full 1080p image, what a sight! Faulty cable was my problem. Cheap cables, huh go figure. __________________ Toshiba 65" HDTV Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD (still kickin) Pioneer Elite VSX- Nakamichi RX-202 Jvc XL-V311 Xbox 360(GT; WarZombieKing) Definitive Technology BP-7004 surround system Monster Cable, Emotiva and (whats

Panasonic Blu-ray U72 Error Code

I've been having occasional problems with the player displaying the U73 error message when it's connected to my amp and it seems to german submarine u 73 be getting worse. I have the player connected to HDMI input on the amp and then the amp is HDMI to the TV. When the player is switched on, it sometimes works and sometimes goes into U73. When http://www.highdefforum.com/blu-ray-ultra-hd-blu-ray-players/84597-panasonic-blue-ray-bd-35-u73-error.html it's in U73, if I change the input select on the amp to any other input other than the BD player, it goes out of U73 and displays wherever it's up to in the sequence. Switch back to that input again and the TV flicks between 16:9 and Auto a couple of times and then the player goes back to U73. After multiple pushing of buttons and turning the amp on/off, it will eventually connect through and https://www.avforums.com/threads/panasonic-bd35-u73-error-message.1024722/ then everythings OK. I've tried a different cable, although it is the same make as the original one, so I've ordered two new cables from one of the suppliers on this forum, I've reset the BD player back to factory settings and upgraded the firmware to 1.5. I'm a bit worried it's the amp, but this works fine with the Sky+HD box connected by HDMI both with the amp on and with it off in the "connected" mode. If I connect the player direct to the telly, then I don't seem to see any problems. I'm hoping it's a cable issue, but that is pretty much a last resort - if it doesn't work has anyone got any other ideas? Here is the equipment: Panasonic DMP-BD60, Denon AVR1910,Dish VIP722K sat receiver, Samsung LED 42" not sure the exact model. All are switched dmp bd60 firmware through the AVR. HDMI connected and one HDMI to the display. Here is what happens: The sat plays fine, no issues. The BD will load the disc and you can see the numbers moving on the display until you switch the input on the AVR, then it kinda stutters and shows the message U73 on the BD display. If you switch the AVR input back to sat, the sat plays fine, and the BD display reverts to the word PLAY, but doesn't seem to be playing. I switched the input on the AVR from dvd to hdp thinking that could be the problem but it didn't change anything. At no time does any picture from the BD show on the display, not even a menu or logo.I had to be somewhere else the next day, was waiting on a couple of volume controls to come in, so I re-scheduled after making sure they had sat, and I need to get back to do an in-depth troubleshooting. I will bypass the AVR with component to see if I get a picture, try to do a firmware update etc. The thing th
