To determine the initial cause of these run-time events, examine the DNS server event log entries that precede this event. To prevent the DNS server from filling the event log too quickly, subsequent events with Event IDs higher than 3000 will be suppressed until events are no longer being generated at a high rate. If there is any error, you can let us know the detailed error message for research. If there is no error after disabling the event suppression, you don’t need to worry about anything. Thanks. To determine the initial cause of these run-time events, examine the DNS server event log entries that https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21760015/Microsoft-DNS-server-generating-event-ID-3000.html precede this event. To prevent the DNS server from filling the event log too quickly, subsequent events with Event IDs higher than 3000 will be suppressed until events are no longer being generated at a high rate. I have found several dcouments on the internet suggesting that DNS logging should be modified to include all DNS log events. I checked both of my DNS servers and they are both configured to log all events. No other events are being logged in the events logs relating to this problem. Name resolution, active directory replication all appear to be functioning normally. 0 Question by:Paul_Jess Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 51 Best Solution byKeith Alabaster http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816518&Product=winxp http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/547be1bb-1a55-465b-a39c-e326d31e1cf71033.mspx Check these as well Go to Solution 5 Comments LVL 51 Overall: Level 51 Windows Networking 25 Message Expert Comment by:Keith Alabaster2006-03-03 Check your dns replication/AD replication as this is the usual cause of the 3000 error. 0 LVL 51 Overall: Level 51 Windows Networking 25 Message Accepted Solution by:Keith Alabaster2006-03-03 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816518&Product=winxp http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/547be1bb-1a55-465b-a39c-e326d31e1cf71033.mspx Check these as well as they may help you diagnose it 0 LVL 20 Overall: Level 20 Windows Networking 7 Message Active today Assisted Solu
