Each has a separate IP address. Over the past month users http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1421741 have been telling me that incoming e-mail from Gmail is being delayed. Sometimes it is received instantly, other times it is received up two days later, and most of the time somewhere in between. This only happens with incoming e-mail originating from a GMail email address or an e-mail address hosted by Google Apps. All other e-mail servers seem to deliver e-mail very quick. When someone sending from GMail to an e-mail account on my server, sometimes the sender receives this error: =================== This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed: [emailprotected] Message will be retried for 2 more day(s) Technical details of temporary failure: DNS Error: DNS server returned general failure =================== I assume that GMail does not like something about my DNS configuration but I cannot determine what it is. I have performed DNS tests and from what I have seen, they seem to show that the DNS servers are working. Have you run into this problem? Any ideas
