Notice that your PS3 can still browse the net, but not log in? Happen to be a Roadrunner customer?Happen to have any other ISP with a crummy DNS server?Well then read on...The main issue turns out to be a Roadrunner (or any other ISP's)DNS problem. The fix is simple. When http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network-Support/Solution-for-your-DNS-error-80710102-problems-Works-for-all-ISP/td-p/13605550 configuring your PS3 network (regardless of wired or wireless), use the manual option. If you use DHCP, leave address resolution at automatic BUT CHANGE THE DNS SERVER ENTRY TO MANUAL.I replaced the Roadrunner (or any other ISP's)DNS entries with addresses from the Open DNS project which is a free, secure DNS server that anyone can use. It's safe, easy, and works. The DNS addresses are:208.67.222.222 or/and 208.67.220.220Once replaced, you should have no problem logging in.BTW, you can also use these DNS servers for your entire network if you like by configuring your router. That however is up to you, and won't be discussed in this particular thread by me since I'm too lazy to make a writeup for every single router out there. However, I do guarantee that this fix will work (or at least get you online with your PS3) for the time being. If it doesn't work, then please re-read this thread and try again before wasting five minutes of your time telling me that it doesn't work. Also, for those th

I have a direct wired connection to my PS3 (I am not using a router) & set everything to dns error automatic. My ISP is Charter & I get 30down & 5up streams. After an hour & a half on Netflix, I get a 80710102 error screen & have to exit, resign my PSN account & re-enter Netflix again. When I'm back in Netflix, it gives me that error again, only this time it happenes every 15+ minutes instead of the initial ~2 hours. The DNS error screen does not dns error ps3 happen when I am browsing the PS3 web broswer or when I'm in the PSstore or when downloading stuff.I tested it out watching Netflix on the 360 & there is no problems. I never get any DNS errors that stop playback even after 4 hours of use. This ONLY happenes when watching Netflix on the PS3.I tried alternative DNS numbers8.8.4.48.8.8.84.2.2.14.2.2.2208.67.222.222208.67.220.220and a few more DNS numbersALL of them have the exact same problem, first hour or two are fine & I get kicked off Netflix & have to sign in back again & afterwards I can only watch it for 15-20 minutes before it happens again.I called Netflix & after an hour they just told me to call Sony, cause it is there problem.Closest I could find a solution to this was a small article here:https://support.unlocator.com/customer/portal/articles/1265998-netflix-errors-on-playstation-3"Recently Sony has made changes to the Netflix application on the PlayStation 3, which is resulting in all sorts of errors when using a DNS provider like Unlocator. This change only affects the PlayStation 3 and not all users are experiencing it."Has anyone experienced this? How can I solve this? Is it Sony's fault, Netflixs fault, my ISP fault? Where do I st
