Psp Dns Error 80410a0b
dragon247uk (220 posts) - 9 years, 8 months agoI have tried countless times since christmas to get my psp online. The
Psp Dns Settings
first time I tried it kept on coming up that the IP had timed out. Finally I switched to the manual IP setting and entered the IP and DNS addresses correctly. This time the error https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3nItM1brDI 8041040F came up. I phoned the PSP technical support and explained my problem. They said I should contact my internet provider (aol) to recieve the correct DNS address so I did. They told me to use the cmd IPCONFIG/ALL in the command box, my settings came up and I compared them with those on my PSP's internet settings. All were correct. I have also contacted my routers manufacturers, Netgear, about http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/dns-error-8041040f-25401689/ the problem. They told me to contact PSP again so I did so. They then told me to contact AOL..... again. Below are my router settings.Connection Name: Connection 1WLAN Security Setting: WEPAddress Settings: CustomIP Address Setting: ManualIP Address: 192.168.0.1Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0Default Router: 192.168.0.1Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0Proxy: Do Not UseInternet Browser: Do Not StartIt also comes up on the test results that the internet connection failed. Can anyone please help me? Oh and your PSP ip can't be the same as any computers you have on the same network either, otherwise you'll get problems kimbokastenivMember Since: December 10, 2004Posts: 3892kimbokastenivFollowForum Posts: 3892Followed by: 0Reviews: 7 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#3 Posted by kimbokasteniv (3892 posts) - 9 years, 8 months ago Also note, that there is a high chance that the address you have currently for DNS is not valid. 2005 / Dave Taylor / iPod and MP3 Player Help / 276 Comments How do I get the Network Update feature on my Sony PSP to work? I’ve tried what Sony suggests but it never seems to like my http://www.askdavetaylor.com/network_update_on_my_sony_psp_doesnt_work/ wireless Wi-Fi connection, so I can’t ever get to the network to look for any sort of update! Since I first got my Sony PSP I’ve also been trying to get this to work, with zero success. While it appears http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/dns-error-has-occured-80410410.439528/ to support wireless encryption protocol (WEP), the encryption key that works fine for my Mac and PC fails on the PSP with cryptic errors like 80410D09 and 80410D07. Then in exasperation I went to a public wifi access point at a dns error local cafe and tried to connect using their wireless network, one that didn’t have any sort of password. And it worked, first time! The first problem I had to figure out, however, was when I tried to connect I was promptly informed that WLAN Switch Is Turned Off on the PSP screen. After some digging, I found out that the small silver slide switch on the lower left edge controls whether the PSP can access a wireless network (WLAN) or not: psp dns error slide it up and you’ll be wireless ready. To configure a network access point, press Home then move to Network Update, then you get to the configuration screen that asks for the WLAN Settings (the default is to enter an SSID), choose “Scan” instead and let the PSP identify all the wireless networks it can see. Choose whichever one has the strongest signal and indicates “None” (not “WEP”) for “Encryption”. Choose all the default configuration settings and you should promptly be asked to press the X button to save your new access profile. Do so, then select it again and, if your connection works you’ll see “Checking Server…”, then, if there’s an update available, the PSP shows:Network Update has found a later version. To download, insert a Memory Stick with at least 14MB of free space and press the X button.Press the X button and you’ll see “Downloading…” and a warning not to turn the unit off or remove the Memory Stick while downloading, then the download starts. I timed it on my system: it took a bit more than ten minutes for the download,PSP operating system version 1.52. When the download succeeds, you’ll now see:Download completed. The update is now available on your Memory Stick. To install now, press the x button. To install later, go to [Game].Pressing the X button restarts the PSP unit then automatically starts the PSP Update ver 1.52 and gives you a single option:
