The problem is that your computer in this case is getting the DHCP from you ISP router and this include the DNS IP adress from them as well. This can be solved by adding the DNS domain IP to the computer. I'm using a windows 8 computer but the steps should be the same on a windows 7 computer. make sure you have your ISP DNS IP as well. You can find those by doing an ipconfig /all in a command prompt. usually there are 2 1. Open network and sharing center by right click on the monitor next to the time 2. Click change adapter settings 3. Right click on the network adapter and select properties 3. Select IPv4 protocol and press properties 4. Click on advanced and the tab DNS 5. There are 20 XP client joined the domain without any problems.
