mint mark, "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and "IN GOD WE TRUST". In 2009, "IN GOD WE TRUST" was removed from the edge and added to the http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page33.html obverse. This page will chronicle the edge of the Presidential Dollars. Here http://sfglobe.com/2016/06/07/1970s-quarter-with-mint-error-may-be-worth-thousands-of-dollars/ you'll find information on edge varieties and errors. Every variety or error can't possibly be listed. What will be listed are the more notable varieties and errors with emphasis on those that are collectible, i.e. in sufficent enough quantities to be available to any numismatist seeking one. EDGE LETTERING INSCRIPTION dollar bill 2007 - 2008 2007 NO DOT AFTER DATE 2008 DOT AFTER DATE Edge lettering includes date, Mint mark, "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and "IN GOD WE TRUST". The 2007 Dollars have a "dot" between "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". A "dot" does not exist between the date/mintmark and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on 2007 dated Presidential Dollars. An extra "dot" was added dollar coin errors to the edge of the 2008 Presidential Dollars between the date/mintmark and "E PLURIBUS UNUM". 2007 P E PLURIBUS UNUM · IN GOD WE TRUST · 2008 P · E PLURIBUS UNUM · IN GOD WE TRUST · 2009 - Present Beginning with the 2009 William Henry Harrison Presidential Dollar, "In God We Trust" appears on the obverse of it and all succeeding Presidential $1 Coins. As a result, the edge lettering of the 2009 Presidential $1 Coins is different from that of the 2007 and 2008 Dollars. Where in 2007/2008 there were single dots (delimiters) between the inscriptions, beginning in 2009 there will be three stars between the date/mintmark and "E Pluribus Unum" and ten stars between "E Pluribus Unum" and the date/mintmark. 2009 P E PLURIBUS UNUM Interesting Note: It was reported on this site, as well as many other sites, that the 2009 Presidential Dollars would have edge let- tering consisting of seven stars, followed by the date/MM, followed by six stars, followed by "E Pluribus Unum". However, it was pointed out to us that instead they have the same edge lettering as the 2009 Nat

This 1970 quarter(shown at the bottom of the article)is listed for sale at a staggering $35,000. Lest you think it's a typo, it's not. Mike Byers, the listed seller for this quarter, says that this coin contains a rare proofing error that makes it valuable to coin collectors. Advertisement This quarter was pressed over the design of a 1941 Canadian Quarter. If you look closely, you can see details of the Canadian quarter peeking through the silver. This quarter isn't the only expensive change on the market. Check out a few of these other rare gems: Buffalo Nickel 1926 Buffalo Nickel - Nice Filler coin https://t.co/p4eru1b7Qq pic.twitter.com/gexBYD8HUI— very great review (@review_great) May 27, 2016 If you find a Buffalo Nickel in your collection, don't toss it in with the rest of your change. While most of these coins are worth about $17, according to Coin Trackers, the same coin in certified mint condition could be worth as much as $7,600. Earlier versions of the coin, the Type 1, were produced only in 1913 and are likely to be worth more, especially if they are still in mint condition. 1925 Lincoln Cent Wheat Penny 1925-D Lincoln Cent Wheat Penny STUNNING #A707 https://t.co/GWj1RagJwP pic.twitter.com/ML2tw8tmeJ— extremely stunning d (@riosilvano3) June 6, 2016 If you have one of these in mint condition, you could be sitting on a $300 penny (not bad for digging through loose change!), according to Coin Trackers. The wheat penny was produced between 1909 and 1956. Early versions of the coin were made of copper, while World War II years are generally made from steel. Coin Trackers notes, "All Wheat Pennies are worth more than their face value of .01 cent. A good rule of thumb is that they are worth at least 3 or 4 cents even in poor condition, but those in good condition are worth at least double-digit dollars."Mercury Dime
