In Vista and Win7 operating system, because of Prefetch and Superfetch program, system will automatically allocate http://forum.mmosite.com/thread/2/49/20110817/The_solution_of_OUT_of_MEMORY_while_playing_DN-4e4b81cb060c3dd13-1.html available of physical memory, so sometimes even configuration is good, RAM is still not enough. Here is a way for players who have this problem as reference. PS: It is not recommended disabling SuperFetch in Windows 7, but if we need slightly more memory to play game smoothly or don't need SuperFetch, we can feel free to do it for a check. 1. Prohibit indexed files which generated by prefetch program Start --> Run-->Input services.msc Double-click the SuperFetch key and it will open the Properties dialog window. Here you can Disable it by changing the dropdown to Disabled. There is another interesting option called Automatic(Delayed Start), this will start superfetching after quite some time during startup. To stop superfetching immediately, hit the Stop button. 2.Set only prefetch system files Start --> Run --> Input regedit Find out the option EnablePrefetcher on the right of the window as the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager/Memory Management/PrefetchParameters If its value is 3, edit it to 2, 2 means only prefetch system files. 3.

I have a http://roosterteeth.com/forum/red-vs-blue/topic/3071443?page=180 few effects on each track (such as Valhalla reverb, Reaper gate, comp & EQ, Voxengo SPAN, utility pan & lmiter), and anywhere between 3-10 takes. nothing has changed in the way I do things after this upgrade, dragon nest but I'm getting these error a few times each session (perhaps once per hour) It's very annoying. Luckily it hasn't happened while recording, yet... anyone have any ideas? You theoretically have 2GB that the process can use but with memory fragmentation (some of which is expected) you'll get that error as soon as an allocation is requested that exceeds the largest free block. In other words you might have 800MB free but that could be in the form of many small blocks none of which are big enough to handle the allocation. 1.2GB is a little lower than where I'd expect to see this, I'd expect to see it more likely when at or above the 1.5GB mark but nevertheless that is what appears to be occurring. TLDR: The process (reaper in this case) is very unlikely to get to and use near the 2GB limit, it's always going to crash or error out earlier due to memory fragmentation. If I remember correctly, cockos themselves added this error to serve as a last chance warning before crashing. EDIT: That error shows about 1.3MB allocation size which makes me wonder how long it takes you to hit this. I would guess it took some time in order for the memory to become that fragmented. Not that it matters, it's simply an academic observation. __________________ If you look into the future and see the present, you're wrong. Last edited b
