Since when i put it on i got this message "fatal error but not showsmartcam ". Is it mean that the Demo is lost for ever ? or could i bring it up with RS232 cable ? and how ? I thanx every one that could help me to solve this issue on my dreambox. 10:16 PMHello, anyone know a way I can reset my DM500s back to factory? I can't telnet or ftp into the box using the root/dreambox password either... and using the controls everytime http://ftabeta.com/archive/index.php/t-614.html I reboot the box I get the fatal error window. Anyone know a key combo to reset the box, or can I console into the serial port on the box and access it that way? First reflash the PLi image. But then, I don't recommend loading the nfps var as there are many problems associated with it. Me and baddcom (it's his flash) have uploaded a flash file from a working dm500 receiver with the nfps. If you load that you only have to change 1 dreambox fatal error line and sat settings and you have TV!
