I am now getting the error message Unable to open com-port, aborting. With no com port available is it possible to use ftp or any other method to upload an image to my Dreambox. My current image is Blackstar2 and appears to be frozen and I was hoping to re-install it. If anyone has any suggestions on uploading an image and or indeed installing a wifi bridge without causing any further problems it would be much appreciated. thanks Reply With Quote Advert 29-03-2012,03:58 PM #2 donki View Profile View Forum Posts Visit Homepage Banned Join Date Oct 2011 Posts 803 Thanks 903 Thanked 399 Times in 272 Posts On the 7000 for example you could place a new image in the temp directory via FTP and then install it via the menu on the box itself. On the DM700HD you can do it via the web interface. If using BA you can FTP up to the box and then install via BA. The list goes on.... Really need to know which Dreambox you have. R U sure your modem cable is OK as the error looks more like a connection fault than a conflict from a WIFI bridge which I suspect is a USB device anyway? The only reason that I linked the com port problem & the Wifi bridge is because I haven't used any other new hardware and it did create a problem with the mouse wh
