I have been updating this page and "putting" it to the server for two years now without a problem. Thank you, Laura 1913Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. If yes, try uploading some other file, or a new test file. If you get the same permissions error, you need to check the settings with your webhost. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: FTP Error 550 Newsgroup_User Dec 31, 2006 3:59 AM (in response to LauraPlumb) Have you tried a different FTP client? If not try something like WS_FTP and see if that works. If it does it's just DW crappy FTP behaving badly. I know some people have DW's FTP working but I also know a lot of people that never got it to work... me included. Besides that if it's working it's slow and sluggish. LauraPlumb skrev: > Hi, > > Why do I keep getting "An FTP error occurred - cannot put pagename.html. 550 > pagename.html: Permission denied. Does your website open through ypour browser?First thing I would do is contact your hosting company and ask them if they are having any problems, since you were able to FTP yesterday. Also, if you are using a program such as WS-FTP, make sure that you didn't change the connection options by mistake. I can "put" the individual files from within the directory, but I none of the files from subdirectories will publish if a directory is chosen to publish. > > I am currently having to resort to creating the directories manually using FTP and publishing by selecting the files from within the directory in Dreamweaver MX. > > Any help would be greatly appreciated. > > --Barbara > > > -- MLangner-MMTS Guest « undo ... include dependable files | Still having problems with Flash Buttons » Similar Threads Using ColdFusion to create directories By ShivaElliott in forum Coldfusion - Getting Started Replies: 1 Last Post: April 2nd, 06:36 AM Create Recordset E
