Hi, I have a dual boot system of http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/dual-boot-xp-win7-cant-start-up-in-xp-ntldr/bb12787f-5b7f-4956-87f0-37f98b4f52b5 XP and Windows 7. Unfortunately when trying to install XP to another internal hard disk of another computer attached as an external hard disk to my computer, it has corrupted my system and on trying to repair am only able to boot into a Windows 7 (Recovered) OS, but not http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/windows-xp-refuses-to-boot-up-on-dual-boot-system my existing XP Pro installation. Kindly, help in diagnosing and rectifying the error. When trying to boot into XP, this is the following message in Windows Boot Manager: File: NTLDR Status: 0xc000000f Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt. The Windows 7 and Windows XP OS' are installed on a single 160GB hard drive. Partitions C: Windows XP and D: Windows 7. Below is the (.) detailed (debug log) from Easy BCD 2.1.2. Apr 1, 2012 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 0 I installed Windows 7 in C partition and I have Windows XP in E. The problem is when I did it, the https://neosmart.net/forums/threads/dual-boot-windows-xp-and-7-ntldr-is-missing.9378/ Windows XP boot screen is gone. Then I installed and opened Easybcd, clicked on add new entry, added an XP entry and saved. Now there are "Windows 7" and "Windows XP" in the boot screen. When choosing the last one, I see that \NST\NTLDR is missing or corrupted. In fact Easybcd shows: Default: Windows 7 Ultimate (recovered) Timeout: 30 seconds EasyBCD Boot Device: C:\ Entry #1 Name: Windows 7 Ultimate (recovered) BCD ID: {current} dual boot Drive: C:\ Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe Entry #2 Name: Microsoft Windows XP BCD ID: {2ea20c9b-78ec-11e1-b89f-c60b4c496b9b} Drive: E:\ Bootloader Path: \NST\ntldr It doesn't point to any file. How do I fix it? ------------------------ Nevermind. Solved. I just clicked on advanced, picked XP and chosed drive C instead of E. Wow. This program is amazing! For reference, you must not change the drive letter that EasyBCD sets up for XP entries.
