Dvd Player Encountered A System Error
Computers & Internet Programming & Design Next Whats error -69889 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? my dvd player wont play red riding hood because of error -69889 thanks for help Follow 2 answers 2 Report Abuse Are you sure you want to delete this answer? Yes No Sorry, something has gone wrong. Trending Now Answers Best Answer: "There are two ways to solve this. One that's apple dvd player error simple, and one that takes a little more effort. In the end, it depends if you want DVD Player to remember where you've left off on the discs you've viewed. Go to: User Library > Application Support > DVD Player. Inside the DVD Player folder is one called Settings. If you don't care whether or not DVD Player remembers where you left off on the discs you've viewed, trash the Settings folder. If you do care, then you need to be a bit more surgical. First, go to File > Get Disc Info in DVD Player while you've got the disc that won't play properly in the drive. Look at where it says 'Settings File' at the bottom of the window. Though there's a 'Reveal' button, it's always grayed out on my system -- but it may work for you. If not, jot down the settings file name, quit DVD Player, then delete the corresponding file from the Settings folder. Either way, whether you've deleted a single settings file or the entire settings folder, your disc should once again be playable." Source(s): apple

There is throws up the error -69889. I have checked to make sure that I created an SD DVD as opposed to an HD DVD. In my VIDEO_TS file, I see.. Try the following trouble shooting steps: Open your DVD SP project and click on the Simulate button (centre of top Icon bar) to see if there is a basic problem with your DVD. If the Simulate works properly click on the Build button and create a Video_TS file on your hard drive. Once it is complete try opening the Video_TS file with the application DVD Player by choosing from the menu bar File > Open DVD Media and selecting the Video_TS file you created. If DVD Player can play your Video_TS file, what kind of DVD media are you using? Let us know what you find. Duane E. Martin Earth to Sky Pictures Inc. It seems it may be an issue with the menu. I want the menu to be the first play. When I do this though nothing will play and the error occurs. Just out of curiosity, I set a video to first play and the video played but wouldn't go on to the menu (even though that was set as the target after play).
