shows an E66 error on screen, it is signaling a general hardware failure. A single red blinking light will be present in section 4 of the ring of light on the front of the console, as e66 error code electrolux dryer shown in the picture. An E66 error is known from reports online to indicate a problem with the console's DVD-ROM drive. To get an error code from an Xbox 360 console that is displaying an E66 error (or 3ROL) you simply press and hold the "sync up" button (used to connect wireless controllers) and then press the Eject button for the DVD drive. This will bring up the first digit of the error code (usually it is one light blinking red, which represents 1, please note that four lights blinking red represents a 0, not 4). With the sync up button still held, press the Eject button again and you get the second digit. Do this twice more to get the full 4 digits of the error code. However, the best precautions would be:Make sure your e66 error code drive is flashed to Xtreme 4.1/4.2Manually hex-edit your key into the firmware. Try to avoid using auto-flashers, etc.Completely disconnect your DVD-ROM from your 360 before booting up and updating (This includes the power cable, simply unplugging the SATA cable will cause your 360 to refuse to boot.)IF YOU HAVE RUN INTO E66:Option 1 - Flash back to original firmware, this works every time.Option 2 - Manually hex-edit your drive key into your modified firmware and flash that firmware. This seems to have a pretty good success rate.Option 3 - If you have an MS25 drive, try flashing to Xtreme 3.2-3.3. If you have an MS28 drive try 4.0-4.2. You can also simply try manually hexediting your drive key into 4.1/4.2, and then flashing your MS25. This is sometimes effective.If you can't get 4.1/4.2 firmware to work, try hex editing the firmware to make it read as MS25. Spoofing with a different brand is a good culprit but it could also be as simple as a different firmware revision used than stock ****ing the console off. You could flash back to stock and see if it works for you then reflash (but since you bought it, I assume you don't want to flash yourself) or you can contact the seller and get your money back (I recommend this).
