Medium Error L Ec Uncorrectable Error
2005 Posts: 21 Failed to read Sector - L-EC Uncorrectable Error Sorry for the repost, but I thought it got lost reason l ec uncorrectable error amongst others. Well here it is again. I have been using DVD Decrypter for some time now with every try being a success. So now that I am trying to back up one of my retry failed reason l ec uncorrectable error movies (Star wars) I can't rip it in the first place. It goes to about 50% then generates an error saying it can't read a certain sector. By the way I did check the surface, it's clear as a mirror. That is until the other day... when I ran into trouble with one of my discs. DVD Decrypter starts okay as normal and proceeds to rip the disc and then aborts with an error message. Having done my homework with what I've learnt from various people here on the AD forums, I know that a CRC error is or can be caused by a dirty or scratched disc so I've tried to clean the disc and tried again but I still get the same message as above. So, what's the difference between the CRC and CIRC error above and what does it mean? What's next to try - any help, replies and suggestions is gratefully appreciated.
