It goes to about 50% then generates an error saying it can't read a certain sector. By the way http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-90949.html I did check the surface, it's clear as a mirror. Thanks LIGHTNING UK!5th March 2005, 14:18I've seen this posted over various forums so you've probably already got your answer. There was a batch of bad discs made and people couldn't rip them. It's not protection, or anything like it, they're just bad copies. Does IFO mode work? If not, I doubt PC player software would either. So, been burning my games for a good while now. Long before XDG3 was a thing. Anyways, recently started errorring out like no ones business. I've turned somewhere around 15 discs into coasters. This is the latest error I've got - after replacing the older drive and changing to a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB SB00.
